http://ktla.trb.com/news/local/la-me-lax21may21,0,5872737.story?coll=ktla-home-3 hard to say what will be kept in this plan. i hope that they revamp LAX in making it more friendly. one interesting thing to point to is the mention of Ontario and Palmdale as potential alternatives. I know, after reading the new mayor's website, that he's in favor of offloading airport traffic to other spots. It'd be great if they can reduce the dependency on LAX towards other spots in LA by expanding those airports instead. i'm definitely for an upgrade of the airport, but not an expansion at the cost of increasing traffic there. the 110 and 405 are far too jammed up by that damn airport. overall the project will take a good 10 years to complete. imo, that might mean even worse traffic considering the possibility that the rebuilding efforts might affect the 405, etc.
