Another Coworker Leaves and the Other Place

We had a small farewell party (sobetsukai) for my coworker last night at an izakaya (Japanese pub).  Around 13-14 people showed up altogether and I'm certain to see the bill come Monday morning.  But it was rather nice.  The lady had been at the office for 5 years now.  Heard she even got to telecommute at one point and was working on the sales team as an administrator/assistant role.  Nice girl, she always was smiling in the office.  We also went to a Hokkaido izakaya for the 2-jikai (second spot).  Funny part was seeing people collapse all around the area we reserved.  One guy managed to sleep on the table almost 4 hours straight.  My neck would've been dead if I had done the same (my ass was already killing me).

One of the women at the office came later.  She's really annoying.  Every time we go out drinking she starts bugging me about which girl I like in the office.  I made the mistake last time of confessing.  She tried this game again and I kept throwing flares out as if she were a heat seeking missile.  Then she starts blurting things out loud and I'm ready to smack her.  The weird part was that I think she was trying to proposition me.  She kept going off on how she's really nice and the way she eats is luxurious or something stupid like that.

I heard about some of these viral Japanese women.  They do things to get a guy by being malicious, spreading rumors and killing all hopes you have in dating other women by engendering awkward situations.  It's really irritating.  I was ready to sit her down in a corner and have a LONG talk.  Regardless, this type of behavior really isn't impressive.  I wanted to say that too.  I wanted to tell her, "This is business, not personal!" or "You're not really impressing me by calling me a fucking metabolic person."

Well, at least  the night was fun.  Came back home around 5 am in the morning and have been practically dead all day.  There was going to be a party today but due to weather conditions, it was canceled  Thank god ironically because I would've been in no condition to hang out.  And thank god again that it did rain so the cancellation wasn't a waste.

As for the other place, my previous company HLIKK, supposedly had laid off 70 people.  It was really quiet too.  I heard many of the people in the company who was given the notice didn't even have the option to receive a package.  Normally, in a company in Japan, this is almost illegal.  Certainly, permanent employees would have the right to protest.  They would even be entitled to unemployment if the quiet didn't sign an agreement with them.  Heck, even the HR head left.  Glad I'm not at that hellhole anymore.
