Who are the Morgan Mafia?

JP Morgan people, credited with the creation of complex credit derivatives, which are at the heart of the financial crisis on Wall Street.  Young bankers who had met in Boca Raton, Florida to come up with this notion.  The idea was to remove the risk from companies' balance sheets by separating the default risk on loans from the loans themselves (move to an  off-balance sheet vehicle).  Product was called Bistro (aka broad index secured trust offering).

Names

• Blythe Masters, British born, one of the most powerful women on Wall Street.  Helped participate in a team in 1997 for the development of credit derivatives.   Later she became the CFO for JP Morgan at 35. Attended Cambridge with an economics degree.
