I just hooked up my Twitter account to my blog here with a nice little Twitter wrapper that you can find here.  So what I did was just publish the title of my blogs and the link.  Twitter does a nice little job of converting long URLs into smaller ones with TinyURL (I probably should just go straight into TinyURL so that I can avoid hitting the 140 character limit on Twitter).

Now, the way I got blog hooked into Facebook was simply to add the Twitter application to my Facebook account.  There's a setting in the Facebook Twitter application that allows you to publish stories from Twitter.  All this was done with less than 10 lines of code AND without me having to learn yet another API.
