So Christopher Daniels is in ROH.
Along with Amazing Kong. Then you had some poor releases like Consequences Creed. And a while back they terminated Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt. Instead, we're left with WCW Part 2.
Christopher Daniels was definitely one of the prime guys I enjoyed watching. To see him move is not really surprising, but it's a shame that management in TNA did not recognize his worth over the years. He never made it close enough to the main event and was pushed down very far and very fast in the past few Hogan/Bischoff months.
Then Amazing Kong left as well. And they kept that fat turd Bubba Sponge. Although I have no qualms about RVD and Jeff Hardy coming in, I do have a ton of problems for many of the other newer people entering. The only exceptions have been Generation Me simply because they have put on some entertaining stunts (I refuse to call them matches because what they do is NOT pro-wrestling; it's glorified acrobatics).
Also, the women's division has sunk. I do like Daphne because she's improving and showing promise. But what happened to Hamada? And you rarely see Sarita and Taylor Wilde, who are the Motor City Machineguns of the women's division.
The rest of the show typically is meandering promos. Fortunately, I TiVo all the episodes so I can fast forward through all the garbage and save myself some time. But I can't imagine being a tortured soul having to be subjected to those unending promos that lead to nowhere.
Obviously, the problem lies with four people, but you can squarely pinpoint all faults on Dixie Carter. At the end of the day, she's the one responsible for signing off on all these decisions. Ever since Jeff Jarrett was relegated to the back, I think the show has gone down tremendously. The minute Russo took over the booking, the show simply has not just been hit or miss, it's been pray that there's something watchable on occasion. But Carter made her choice.
I wrote before that I thought Dixie Carter is probably a very nice and classy woman. I'm certain if you work for her, the work environment would be considered decent for a wrestling organization. From a pro-wrestling business point of view though, she's clearly clueless. I believe I stated in a prior blog how the recent steroid hearings demonstrated the difference in business conduct between McMahon and Carter. McMahon came across as ruthless but someone willing to protect his empire at all cost while promoting his company in the highest light possible. Carter completely exposed her business.
I don't think Carter sees how she completely fumbled and probably destroyed her company just in that hearing.
Now, you see when she lets these people who claim to understand the business run Jeff Jarrett's company (because that's the real owner of the company) and how the foundation is being torn assunder. I think if the ratings continue to plummet over the next few weeks, Carter should heavily re-examine Hogan and Bischoff's contracts and give them the ultimatum to build business within a three month time span or be kicked out with no money. However, I don't think she's smart enough to see that. Apparently, Hogan is "wining and dining her", which translates to he's soothing her ego by connecting her. In the process, she's become blind to the fact that Hogan is using her to pay up for his divorce trial.
I think I feel the worst for Jeff Jarrett. Of everyone, he probably deserves better than what's gone on. Unfortunately, unless he's able to buy back his shares of the company, I don't see how he'll be able to re-take control over his company,
