Ugh, I decided to stop playing the game when I found a major bug. This time after completing Tenebrosia and receiving the 600k XP boost by the Old Man at the Review Board in Skara Brae, it seemed that my main character's XP counters were reset if they were too high level. Now, the game is telling me that I need a ridiculous 3million XP to level up. WTF?!!?!?!
Interestingly enough, I decided to check around a little for other hints about the game and came across a document that enumerates all the in-game items. One note mentioned that the Stoneblade did not possess the same stoning effect on the PC version. So I figured that it's not me nor the emulation mode after all.
But this is horribly frustrating considering that I've spent a while grinding away at the game. It feels as though the game was rushed when it was being ported to the PC. Probably, the game makers developed the game for the Apple and Commodore at the beginning then were rushed to deliver it onto the PC. The Amiga doesn't seem to have the same troubles, so I'm wondering if the PC version was the only one that's screwy.
At any rate, this totally blows the enjoyment of playing this game. I wish I could find a good emulator for the Commodore on Linux because I'm certain BT3 is better on that platform.
