Bard's Tale 3 on the PC Seems A Little Foobar'd

I'm starting to notice some issues with the PC version of Bard's Tale 3.  Here's a few items that crossed my path recently:

  • My Chronomancer's stats stopped increasing as he levels.  He has perfect stats except for strength. Also, I need to double check this, but it seems as though he's been level capped at 30 as well, although the Review Board says he "gained a level" at the appropriate juncture. I don't know if this level cap is caused by me "only" being in Tenebrosia at the moment or if it's a permanent thing. But so far, only my Chronomancer seems to be experiencing this issue.
  • The Stoneblade isn't stoning anyone.  My guys can hardly hit with it and do no damage but cannot gain the natural benefits either that offset this problem.
  • My archmage cannot equip a Staff of Mangar.  I have to check to see if my other archmage can use it.  If she can use it, then I suspect that the game sets a flag if you killed Brilhasti Ap Tarj that converted you automatically to an archmage.
  • The same traps in each dungeon area.  There seems to be the only four traps being shown when attempting to disarm a box.
  • The code wheel only seems to be partly working.
  • Some creatures seem to have lost their powers. I've seen some creatures that according to their descriptions look to have special powers like level draining, etc. But these never get invoked for one reason or another.  Other times, some creatures just stand around doing nothing.
  • The lowest level dungeons in one of the seven worlds spawn a mixture of creatures from the current realm and the next realm. I can't remember on the C128 if this happened as well, but it just seems odd (not to mention unfair).
  • Kiel's Overture gives my party a bonus AC on top of casting Trebuchet.  I'm pretty certain that the song should only cast Trebuchet in combat.
  • AC can go below -50.  I think on the C128 version, -50 was the cap.
  • Monsters that "critically hit" me don't kill my guys. At least, in this one section of the game this seems to be occurring.  I think the character getting hit is wearing a sorcerer's hood, so I'm not sure if that's preventing her from dying.
On an off note, I did manage to get my main party beyond level 60 while my Geomancer hit level 13 and my new archmage is at level 19.  I decided to call it quits because I was grinding quite a bit last night. I would like to experiment a bit with my Geomancer once I get started again. Usually, I find that once a spell caster hits level 13, their spells become quite effective in that most monsters no longer can resist them.

Regardless, I might have to return to some older spots because I might be missing some equipment that will help my AC.  People like my hunter and rogue seem a little underpowered at the moment, especially my hunter.
